Q. How will I know what messages Junk Mail Manager has caught?
A. Spam messages caught by the Junk Mail Manager filtering system are directed to your quarantine. You will receive summary messages that will list the contents of your quarantine and allow you to deliver the message, and/or mark the sender as allowed (adding them to your white list). You can also login to the Junk Mail Manager interface to view your quarantine.

Q. What is the Allowed Senders list?
A. The Allowed Senders list is a list of e-mail addresses, or e-mail domains, that are considered to be "good." The list is used to provide a list of senders who can bypass filtering. This allows the user to specify known good sender e-mail addresses and domains. This list is also commonly called a "white list."

Q. What is the Blocked Senders list?
A. The Blocked Senders list is a list of e-mail addresses, or e-mail domains, that are considered to be "bad." The list is used to provide a list of senders who are treated as spam even if the filter doesn't classify the message as spam. This allows the user to specify known bad sender e-mail addresses and domains. This list is commonly called a "black list."

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a tool for blocking most spammers. Spammers continually change the email address they are sending mail to, and the address they use in the from field, to circumvent such tactics. Even with no entries in the Blocked Senders list, the regular Junk Mail Manager filters are effective enough to identify almost all spam.

Q. What are Allowed Mailing Lists?
A. The Allowed Mailing Lists system allows users to specify valid to addresses for messages sent to a mailing list. It is common for mailing lists to not put the actual recipient in the to field of the message and the from address will be the actual person who sent the message to the list. This will make using the Allowed Senders list impossible as you would have to put in each member of the mailing list into the Allowed Senders list.
Putting a single entry in the Allowed Mailing Lists system allows you to accept all mail sent to the to address of the mailing list so that all mailing list posts will be allowed through without spam blocking.

A. By default, Junk Mail Manager will send summaries on a daily basis. The summary will have a table of any messages quarantined since the previous summary message. The table's first two columns are Deliver and Approve. Clicking on the deliver icon will cause that specific message to be delivered to your inbox.
